Currently, the infrastructure for regulation, ethics review and monitoring is insufficient to regulate clinical trials in the country. In this situation, the government’s push to encourage clinical trials in India must be viewed with concern. On this issue, Sama organized the national consultation on Regulation of Drug Trials, starting 26th to 27th September 2011. This report in documenting its proceedings closely follows the structure of the Consultation.
