Action Research ...
Action Research is an integral component of Sama's work. Research is carried out on issues that the organization is already advocating or in situations where we feel that there is a need to initiate advocacy efforts. The research helps in developing gender sensitive approach in advocacy by addressing and documenting health needs and concerns of women and community.
Sama believes that it is important to bring evidence from the field and disseminate it, in order to substantiate the demands made to the government and influence the government’s actions that have an implication on the well being of the population.
Research is also important in building Sama’s own in-depth understanding of the ground situation of the main issues that it engages with.
